Romer Labs

Romer Labs is a leading global supplier of diagnostic solutions for mycotoxins, food pathogens, food allergens, gluten, GMO, veterinary drug residues, melamine and enzymatic food analysis. Additionally, they operate four fully accredited service labs in Austria, Singapore, UK and the USA. 

PLOT was tasked to create a simply but highly intuitive mobile application. 

What emerged was AgraApp, a universal application designed to run on the iPhone and the iPad. It contains multiple sets of assets, fully optimised for all possible screen variations including the iPhone and iPad display. 

This allows users to capture the results of a dip-stick test using the camera feature, match the test to the built-in colour chart and identify a postitive or negative reading. Upon either result, the mobile application allows you to share and store the test capture with colleagues and even report back to Romer Labs for additional verification. 

The app represented a world first in on-site result capture.

Romer Labs aims to be at the forefront of diagnostic technology and is the very first food laboratory to use this type of technology. Further releases will allow the user to identify the results quicker and more accurately, along with multiple tests and potentially remote based support, using Apple’s FaceTime technology. 

PLOT spent a year inventing ways to make the technology work and integrate a solution that was most effective. The mobile application has launched and initial extremely positive feedback indicates that together PLOT and Romer Labs have achieved a massive success.
